Daisy Eris Campbell - The Cerne to CERN Pilgrimage

Daisy Eris Campbell explores the intersection of art, pilgrimage, and consciousness by reflecting on her journey from Cerne Abbas to the CERN particle physics laboratory. Highlighting the power of story as a value exploration device, she details how these pilgrimages act as psychomagical acts. Through the lens of personal experience and the works of figures like C.G. Jung and Robert Anton Wilson, the talk emphasizes how shared journeys can act as catalysts for profound personal and cultural reflection. Central to the discussion is the role of symbolic action in navigating life's challenges. The narrative weaves together personal anecdotes, such as the creation of a 'magical orphan' persona, with broader philosophical insights, framing these experiences as a way to engage with the 'Eschaton' and explore the limits of human understanding. The pilgrimage stands as a testament to the idea that intentional journeys serve as an exercise in shaping reality and finding meaning.
