"More Real Than Real" (pt. I) Why DMT entities, alien abductions, NDEs, and mystical visions may be one phenomenon

DMT entities, alien abductions, near-death experiences, and mystical visions are presented as potentially arising from the same underlying phenomenon, framed as “more real than real” encounters rather than ordinary hallucinations. The essay connects this claim to research themes: DMT studies where many participants report autonomous beings and messages, and additional qualitative work that highlights recurring encounter phases like hyperspace entry, communication without spoken language, perceived examinations, time distortion, and lasting ontological change. It then argues that modern tech microdosing culture and policy debates create a social mismatch for threshold experiences. Microdosing (LSD and psilocybin) is described as often used for productivity and mood, but accidental or cumulative dosing may push people into full encounters without adequate integration support, leaving them disconnected from frameworks that could make such experiences psychologically and socially survivable.
