Shpongle - Are You Shpongled?

Psychedelic ambient electronic music by Simon Posford and Raja Ram forms the cornerstone of Shpongle's debut album, Are You Shpongled? released in 1998. The musical composition blends hypnotic downtempo rhythms, acoustic instruments, complex synth layers, and otherworldly vocal samples designed to evoke immersive altered states of consciousness. Tracks such as Shpongle Spores, DMT, and Vapour Rumours fuse world music elements with electronic soundscapes, pioneering the psychill and psybient genres. The audio progression takes listeners on a continuous auditory journey through ethereal sound fields and rhythmic syncopation.
