Wandering Stars

Wandering Stars is a trip-hop musical piece by Portishead from their debut album Dummy. The composition combines haunting vocal performances by Beth Gibbons with slow breakbeats, deep bass lines, and turntablism vinyl scratching. Themes of grief, existential isolation, and emotional suffering permeate the lyrics, expressed through evocative metaphors of wandering stars and eternal darkness.
