Ayahuasca VR — A Virtual Psychedelic Trip — AltVR

Ayahuasca VR creates a simulated experience inspired by the traditional Amazonian Ayahuasca ceremony, utilizing a virtual reality application to guide users through its characteristic visionary aspects. The VR production explicitly incorporates shamanic themes alongside complex visual patterns that mirror common psychedelic reports of geometric fractals and shifting textures. This application is presented as a transformative tool that explores how virtual reality can mediate and potentially alter a user's perception of reality. By focusing on these subjective visual manifestations, the experience offers a digital approximation of an altered state driven by DMT-containing brews. It serves as an invitation to engage with digital art while acknowledging its potential to evoke profound cognitive and sensory shifts in users.
