Opening Remarks for Sasha Centennial | Wendy Tucker, Peter Vitale & Liana Gillooly

Wendy Tucker, Peter Vitale, and Liana Gillooly provide celebratory opening remarks at the 100th anniversary marking the birth of Alexander Sasha Shulgin. Focusing on the enduring impact of his life and chemical research, these speakers emphasize the crucial role of the Shulgin farm as a living monument within the psychedelic community. By framing the farm as a sacred site of connection, knowledge, and historical continuity, the speakers call on audience members to maintain Shulgin's legacy as a dynamic and ongoing collaborative process. They highlight how the community can continue to foster the spirit of exploration and ethical inquiry pioneered in the original laboratory, honoring the past while actively evolving in a rapidly changing social landscape.
