Breaking Convention 2023 Opening Film

Breaking Convention serves as a multi-disciplinary platform facilitating the intersection of academic research, artistic expression, and cultural discourse surrounding psychedelics. This opening film outlines the organization's history, highlighting its origins in response to the resurgence of psychedelic investigation after decades of prohibition initiated in the 1970s. The conference brings together a diverse community of scientists, philosophers, and activists to foster open dialogue and disseminate findings from the growing field of psychedelic studies. Events like this underscore the commitment to ethical exploration, clinical analysis, and the preservation of historical context. By bridging the gap between professional research and public discourse, the initiative aims to influence policy and deepen collective understanding of consciousness through varied, substance-informed perspectives.
