Integrating exogenous practices into Western systems often results in their simplification or commodification, effectively stripping away their cultural roots. Relying on existing, narrow paradigms forces complex traditional practices into rigid, sometimes incompatible social boxes. Meaningful progress necessitates collaborative efforts between the psychedelic community and administrative bodies to define regulations that safeguard traditional knowledge and human rights while ensuring safety.
