Gilgamesh Pharma closes oversubscribed $60M Series A to advance NMDA-targeted and ibogaine-analog neuropsychiatric programs

Gilgamesh Pharma closes an oversubscribed $60 million Series A to fund its pipeline of neuropsychiatric drug candidates and expand its discovery platform. The company highlights positive Phase 2 results for blixeprodil (GM-1020), a non-competitive NMDA receptor antagonist being developed for major depressive disorder (MDD), and says the program is advancing into late-stage studies in 2026. Gilgamesh Pharma also plans to move its cardio-safe ibogaine analog GM-3009 into Phase 1 later in 2026. The release frames the funding as part of the company spinout and continuation of prior relationships, including a collaboration with AbbVie on neuroplastogen therapeutics, with proceeds supporting multiple programs toward IND-enabling and early clinical development. The round was led by Satori Neuro with participation from institutional investors including Prime Movers Lab.
